Recognizing Global Leaders in Pediatric Medicine
The NextPeds 2027 Scientific Committee presents competitive and honorary distinctions to celebrate clinical innovation, mentorship, and high-impact abstract presentations. All accepted presenting authors are automatically evaluated during scheduled podium and poster sessions.
Best Oral Presentation Award
Conferred to the speaker delivering the most exceptional empirical data presentation, evaluated on clinical relevance, methodology, and defense during Q&A.
Young Investigator Award
Dedicated to pediatric fellows, residents, and postdocs under 35 presenting original translational research with significant bedside therapeutic potential.
Best Visual Poster Award
Recognizing the most visually impactful electronic poster or physical display exhibiting clarity of statistical graphics, trial design, and clinical findings.
Distinguished Faculty Award
Nominated by peers and the Advisory Board to honor a senior pediatrician or clinician-scientist for decades of dedicated clinical leadership and mentorship.
Judging & Evaluation Matrix
Presentations are scored on-site by Session Chairs and designated Scientific Committee Jurors using standardized evaluation rubrics:
- Methodological Rigor: Sample sizing, trial controls, and statistical reliability.
- Translational Impact: Direct applicability to bedside neonatal and pediatric care.
- Delivery & Visuals: Slide structure, adherence to allocated presentation timing.
- Scientific Defense: Ability to address juror and delegate technical questions.
Presentation Ceremony
Award recipients will be formally announced and presented with custom engraved trophies and commemorative certificates during the Valedictory Ceremony on Day 2 (October 15, 2027) at 16:30 PDT in Plenary Hall A.
