Academic Governance Structure

Scientific Committee & Review Council

The academic agenda, abstract evaluation matrix, and presentation track allocations for NextPeds Vienna 2027 are strictly governed by our international delegation of clinical and molecular experts.

Council Review Divisions

To ensure expert evaluation across specialized pediatric datasets, our Scientific Committee is structurally organized into three core evaluation divisions. Submitted abstracts are dynamically routed to reviewers based on their specific research area:

I

Advanced Clinical Neonatology Panel

Governs core evaluation cycles for tracks involving neonatal intensive care (NICU) support systems, advanced mechanical ventilation, airway management parameters, and complex neonatal surgical interventions.

Covers Specialized Tracks: 01, 03, 15
II

Translational & Molecular Pediatrics Panel

Governs dataset evaluation for pediatric genomics, precision medicine frameworks, target biomarker discovery in acute organ injuries, and molecular therapeutics for rare childhood diseases.

Covers Specialized Tracks: 05, 06, 07, 08
III

Acute Critical Care & General Therapeutics Panel

Governs technical reviews for emergency and trauma care workflows, sepsis protocols, pediatric cardiology, neuro-ICU settings, gastroenterology, oncology, and general community pediatrics.

Covers Specialized Tracks: 02, 04, 09, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16–25
